Sky Ark is a nonprofit organization providing air transportation and airlift services during disasters and desperate crisis situations to the animal and humanitarian community. Sky Ark is an animal/wildlife and humanitarian organization that excels in air transportation and support. We are not involved in animal rights issues.

Emergency air operations often demand the ability to respond rapidly, remain for continued support and then withdraw quickly. Sky Ark has the experience to address these types of crises rapidly. In the midst of crisis, efficiency and safety can be sustained only through professional, disciplined management and complex technical support.

Sky Ark airlift programs:

Regular Transports: Sky Ark will provide transport for our Members animals needing cross-country transportation. We will also provide transport for Corporate Members where there are situations when the USDA or other governmental agency has shut down a puppy mill or seized animals from deplorable conditions, or from failed animal rescue groups. Sky Ark will provide transportation to these animals, but only when there is excess funding and time available and Members contribute via our Flight Share Program. 

These animals/wildlife have a high chance of being put to sleep, not because no one wants them but because no one can get them to other shelters, sanctuaries, fosters homes or adopters in other areas of the United States. We want to help animals, wildlife and people survive disasters by bringing in needed supplies and personnel and by transporting out animals and wildlife in crisis situations. We are confident in our ability to provide a service that is desperately needed. We hope you will help us fulfill our mission by donating funds to cover costs.

Transport during natural disasters: Over the past 5 years, Sky Ark has had numerous requests for help after floods, earthquakes, wildfires, during Hurricane Katrina/Rita/Wilma left thousands of animals, wildlife and people without food, medical attention or shelter. The Sky Ark board has decided that one of our priorities is to provide transportation to animal evacuees, wildlife and the transportation of needed supplies to people during disasters.

Sky Ark Membership:

Starting August 15th 2007, Sky Ark will only provide transportation to Sky Ark Members. We are doing this to help cover our costs and to provide a more structured transportation network, Members will be either Individuals, Companies or other Non-Profits Corporations. Members can choose either paying monthly or a yearly Membership dues. Any Member that makes a $500 or more donation will receive one year of Membership for free.

Individual Membership:  $9.95 Per Month.

Corporate Membership:  $34.95 Per Month.

Non-Profits Membership: $19.95 Per Month.

Membership Benefits:

Ability to use our regular scheduled cross-country network (Members Only)

Ability to post transport request to our Volunteer Pilots (Members Only)

Ability to use our Forum to communicate with other Members (Members Only)

Ability to make requests for disaster assistance. (we only accept these request from our Members)

Volunteer Pilots Pay: 82.00%

Transport Zone Fees: 8.52%

Membership Dues: 5.90%

Kennel Rentals: 2.46%

Admin/Dos Fees: 1.23%
